Startbucks Fall 2022 Review

By:Mia Denis

Today I’m going to be reviewing some of Starbucks’ 2022 fall menu. For some of you guys who live under a rock, Starbucks is a gourmet coffee chain. They come out with some exclusive seasonal drinks each fall, and I tried them so you don’t have too.

First up let’s talk about what’s new on this year’s menu. So they just released a new cake pop! The cake pop is a purple owl and it is vanilla cake with buttercream that’s dipped in chocolate. It cost about $3 at my location. Next we have the Apple Crisp Oatmilk frappe, which for a grande is $6. Then we had the PSL (pumpkin spice latte) frappe which was also $6. Then a grande regular PSL which is also $6. And the last item I tried was an iced chai tea latte which costs me $5.

Now we’re all these drinks even worth it? Well considering if you go to walmart and can buy a WHOLE box of cake mix for less than the cake pop i wouldn’t buy it, but it’s much more convenient than making a whole cake. The taste of the cake pop was so good. It was similar to the unicorn cake pop. The only difference was this one was dipped in regular chocolate rather than white. My overall rating is a 7/10, but it’s not worth $3.

Next I got the new apple themed frappuccino. It was very refreshing and it paired perfectly with the caramel on top. I also thought it was a good way to cut out dairy and enjoy an amazing frappuccino. 9/10. PSL: Ok so here’s the thing, I’m not a big fan of cinnamon stuff but I wanted to try one of the most popular drinks ever; selling to over 20 million people a year. But when I got it I wanted to find a way to counteract the spiciness, so I added two pumps of vanilla syrup. To me it still had the spice, just less pumpkin flavoring. It tasted like a cinnamon roll. 6.5/10. PSL Frappe: This one is so similar to the PSL it just had more pumpkin flavoring. I think that it being blended helped a lot. 7/10.

Next I tried a chai tea latte. This drink appeared on my fall seasonal recommendations, me, trusting starbucks i bought it. It was AWFUL. It tasted like milk tea and old lady. It was cinnamon tasting and was  disgusting. 0/10.

From what I have learned by spending around $30 on drinks and a cake pop is that it may be delicious but it’s not worth breaking your bank; well except for the apple themed frappe. I think this was a good start to the holiday season but I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Christmas menu.

It tasted very much like chai and it was too strong. It was cinnamon tasting and was  disgusting. 0/10.
